Beauty Essentials

What is in my purse?

Here is the contents of my purse. I don't carry my entire makeup collection with me however I do have the basics.

First is Benadryl itch stopping cream I'm currently going through immunotherapy it sounds scary but it's not. It is an injection of things I'm allergic to in order to build a resistance to them. Every week I get two injections that itch like mosquito bites. This is a must especially because it's summer and the actual mosquitos are out in full force. This works well and doesn't run or make your skin a weird color.

These are simple things that can be overlooked. I have a small nail file, a contact case, and tissues. These really need no explanation but come in super handy so don't forget them.

Not only do I work with accident prone middle scholars I myself am quite accident prone. But because this is so hydrating and you need so little I find that it works better than carrying a separate moisturizer for my body, hands, and face. This little tube of Neosporin goes a long way especially in the winter when I seem to get dry skin at the most random times.

This E.L.F. tinted moisturizer goes on well just using my fingers, it is a nice light coverage and it has good staying power. Sometimes I'm in such a rush that I don't have time to put on makeup so I'll just go to the bathroom and spend 2 minutes putting this on when I get a chance. It is SPF 20 and not drying in the slightest.

Here is the first Ipsy product to appear in this post. POP beauty mascara has a nice formula, it's dark, doesn't clump, and generally stays put. It's not water proof and I've heard some complaints about it running but I have had nothing but a positive experience with this.

E.L.F. essential lip stain in pink petal is one of my favorite products especially for a low key no makeup look. This goes on not the color of my lips but the color I wish they were and after all isn't that the point of makeup. This isn't particularly drying nor is it hydrating but putting chapstick over it once it dries doesn't seem to dull the color.

My all time favorite lip balm. Julep Strawberry-mint lip balm it goes on without any color or sparkle, but it smells amazing, it hydrates better than anything else I have tried, and it tastes amazing. I can't recommend this enough it's so unique in it's scent and it works so well especially in the winter.

Lately everyone seems to be trying to find the best oil absorbing sheets, and quite frankly I don't see the point. I've tried a few brands and they all work and feel identical. These Walgreens oil absorbing sheets  take the shine completely off my face without removing much of my makeup and I only need one sheet for my face. This is one product everyone should have.

A perfume sample never hurts. This is a fun sweet perfume and it comes in super cute packaging. Prada Hard candy

The main reason I keep this in my purse is because the sample is so small you can put other things in the box. I keep Tylenol, again I work with small children, and my allergy pill. If you holding onto a key for someone or you want to hide something small this is the perfect place that no one will look in.

I like to keep all of my essentials in this bag I received as part of my Ipsy subscription. It's great to keep things together and not have to worry about things getting sucked into the black hole in the bottom of my purse.

These are the very basics and depending on my makeup or the weather I might take more or less. If you have an requests for a future post feel free to let me know.
